I work in a national library as a moving image curator. My research interests include archival re-mix and creative re-use, legacies of power and under-representation in film archives, using archival footage to support wellbeing and creativity, hauntological interpretations of archival film and TV, and representations of energy histories and the environment.

​My professional experience includes: teaching at higher education level, community engagement, workshops for schools and colleges, adult education, chairing panels and discussions, and presenting my own work.

I'm interested in the different ways archive can be used as inspiration for other art forms. I've led projects for the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (musical composition students) and devised several workshops for adults using archival footage to inform the writing of poetry. One of my special interests is engaging people with environmental issues and debates, including creative ways to manage climate anxiety through research, writing and making.

I have a PhD in Film Studies from the University of Glasgow.
